A Week In Summary!

Last week was jam packed with exciting news and happenings for us here at Coatsink. We’ve pulled together details of the past week in this neat little post, so you can so you can check out what we have been up to at a glance.

Oculus Connect 2

Ted Schilowitz

We were lucky enough to attend Oculus Connect 2! There, Ed, Paul and Torger got to meet other Virtual Reality developers, professionals and enthusiasts alike. We will be sharing more juicy details about the event with you in an upcoming blog post, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Esper 2 Announcement

ESPR2-Slider

Esper 2 was revealed at Oculus Connect 2. We’re really excited that we can start talking about Esper 2. We’ve been hard at work giving the original Esper a sequel that will give players plenty of enjoyment and surprises!

As you may already know, Esper 2 will feature the voice acting talents of Nick Frost, Sean Pertwee, Lara Pulver and Eric Meyers (the voice of Geoff from the original Esper). It’s great to have such esteemed talent contributing to the game!

Gang Beasts coming to the Oculus Rift

Another announcement at Oculus Connect 2 was that Gang Beasts will be coming to the Oculus Rift. We are going to be working alongside Boneloaf, to bring Gang Beasts to the Virtual Reality world.

We’re really happy about this new partnership and will keep you updated on the process of bringing one of Steam’s favourite beat-em-ups to the Oculus Rift.

Eurogamer Expo 2015

egx2

We traveled down to Birmingham and demoed two of our games at the popular gaming expo, EGX. We are delighted with the feedback we received for both games, Esper and Shu. In a previous blog post we talked about the importance of player feedback and discussed some changes we have made to Shu. We were happy to see the changes we made had a big impact and the game was much better received, with players duking it out to get the best time!

As with Oculus Connect 2, we will have a dedicated blog post about our time at EGX coming up shortly.

We’d like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came along and played our games at EGX and to everyone who boarded the hype train and showed us love with our latest VR announcements!

As always we will keep you up to date with any news we have, until then you can stay in touch with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
