Announcing Moonglow Bay!
Ahoy there!
We’ve just announced a brand new game at the ID@Xbox /twitchgaming event, coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam.
Introducing Moonglow Bay, a slice-of-life, singleplayer and local co-op fishing RPG coming in 2021!
Here’s the full announcement trailer and an o-fish-al overview of the game’s story!
We’ve been keeping this one a secret for some time and are so excited to be working with the extremely talented team at Bunnyhug to bring this diverse and emotionally charged story to life. You can learn more about them and the work they do on the sparkling new Moonglow Bay website!
How do I find out more?
The best place to catch all the latest news, behind the scenes looks, exclusives and fish puns is over on the Moonglow Bay Twitter and Facebook accounts. You can also hang out and chat with us over on the new MGB Channel in the Coatsink Discord! Among other things, there’ll be a weekly #FishyFryday where we’ll shine a spotlight on one of the 100+ aquatic species coming to the game before it launches.
Win Signed Moonglow Bay Key Art!
To celebrate the announcement of Moonglow Bay, we’ve set up a Gleam competition where you can win signed Key Art from the creators of the game – Zach Soares and Lu Nascimento – as well as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 12 month subscription so you can play the game at launch!
What can I expect from Moonglow Bay?
Moonglow Bay features several distinct story arcs, 100+ aquatic species to discover, Monster encounters and a fully-inhabited town to explore, which can be enjoyed in both single-player and drop-in-drop-out local co-op.
Moonglow Bay was once the jewel of the Canadian coastline… until rumours of dangerous, fantastical creatures ruined the fishing trade. With the town on the verge of bankruptcy and only one year until its centennial, you decide to fulfil your partner’s final wish of starting a business in a decisive attempt to revive the town.
Along the way you will encounter strange locals and stranger fish; cook and sell a variety of recipes; upgrade your equipment, rods, and fishing boat; learn to cast nets, set traps and fish through ice; explore the furthest reaches of the bay, from frigid glaciers to boiling geysers; and ultimately determine if there is any truth to the tales…
Do magical creatures really exist in Moonglow Bay?
Anything else?
That’s everything for today, but we’ll have plenty more to say about Moonglow Bay in the weeks and months ahead. We hope to see you out on the ocean soon, guppy!
