Esper at E3: Adventures In Los Angeles

Almost a month has passed since E3 and we are still riding on the waves of a hype-high that will undoubtedly take us through into 2016. This year E3 was particularly special for us, as for the first time ever we had one of our games exhibited; Esper!

If you were following the lead up to E3, you may have watched the Pre-E3 Oculus live stream. We were thrilled to see Esper included in the official line-up of games that will be available on the Oculus Rift when it arrives in stores in early 2016.

Tom and Eddie jetted off to Los Angeles a few days later to attend E3. Naturally they spent most of their time in the Oculus area, talking many people through their first experience with Virtual Reality.

It was the first time Esper had been publicly demoed on a Crescent Bay Oculus Rift. It was exciting for our entire team to have people playing Esper on a more advanced device. The Crescent Bay’s greater technological capabilities allows for much smoother, prettier visuals, and additional, albeit subtle additions to gameplay, such as being able to look under the table. (Sounds silly, but it was something the guys over at Cinelinx were really psyched about!)

This year’s E3 has been one for us at Coatsink to remember. We’d like to extend a huge thanks to Oculus for supporting us and giving us the opportunity to develop on such an exciting platform, and to everyone who continues to follow our work and play our games. We’ve got some really exciting things on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with you. Until then, keep up to date with us via Twitter and Facebook!
