Coatsink Partnership with Queer in Games!
Coatsink are proud to announce that we’ve teamed up with Rainbow Game Jam’s Queer in Games campaign. The Queer in Games campaign will feature people that are working towards increasing LGBTQ+ representation in the industry.
What is the Queer in Games campaign?
The aim of this brilliant campaign is to celebrate Individuals in the queer community, especially those that are unsung heroes, and promote intersectionality, as well as LGBTQ+ people.
Here’s what our friendly neighbourhood COO, Eddie Beardsmore and Jo Twist, CEO of the Association for UK Interactive Entertainment had to say about the importance of diversity in the industry:
Diversity isn’t a nicety – it’s a necessity if the industry is going to grow, thrive and truly reflect the tens of millions of people that play games every day in this country.
Here at Coatsink we know this to be true, and we’re delighted to be supporting Rainbow Game Jam’s, Queer-In-Games campaign. It’s an honour to be able to play a part in the promotion and celebration of our LGBTQ+ colleagues and friends, and the unique roles they play in the games industry across the globe.
We look forward to a time when inclusivity and diversity is the celebrated norm and wish Rainbow Game Jam’s campaign, and all the other pledge partners, the very best as we strive towards this bright and exciting future.

Nominations are open until 23rd April 2021 for individuals to put themselves forward, or to nominate friends, colleagues and peers.
We are looking to recognise and highlight those who are working to make the games industry a more inclusive place for those in the LGBTQ+ community.
