Community Code of Conduct

For every member to feel welcome

For over ten years, community has been at the heart of everything we do at Coatsink and our aim has always been to provide a friendly, fun, and inclusive environment, whether you’re joining us for regular streams, chatting together across our various social networks or leaving invaluable feedback for our products.

As Coatsink’s community grows, we continue to listen and learn as we strive to maintain those same quality standards, while expanding upon them to keep you feeling safe, secure and welcome.

This Code of Conduct applies to all of our games and services and outlines our expectations for those who wish to join in and engage with us.

Our core values are…

1. Be kind and considerate to one another

2. Never discriminate

3. Be mindful of what you share

4. Protect personal information to safeguard our members

5. Play fairly and be respectful of other players

Be kind and considerate to one another

It is our ultimate goal to ensure Coatsink shared spaces are protected and welcoming so community members within them enjoy their time with us and also know they are being heard and cared for.

Our games attract a variety of audiences, of all ages, from around the world. Our foundation is made up of kind and considerate members and we enact the highest standards to look out and care for them. This code of conduct ensures we will continue to do so.

We have zero tolerance for any of the below points and breaches of these will result in reporting and permanent exclusion from our groups.

  • Discriminatory language of any form
  • Personal targetting or threatening of a member of Coatsink staff
  • Posting of harmful links that direct users to spam
  • Threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person
  • Doxing/hacking/swatting or any form of damaging, invasive activity
  • Posting explicit, offensive or violent material
  • Inappropriate photography or recording
  • Deliberate intimidation or stalking
  • Any advocating of the above behaviour

Never Discriminate

The Coatsink community has been built to be a friendly and welcoming space. We will not accept diminishing, threatening, insulting, abusive, harassing or bullying behaviour in any form and will take action accordingly if we become aware this is happening in our spaces.

We would encourage anyone who feels unsafe or affected by this to reach out to a caretaker at their earliest convenience, whether they’ve had an issue within the groups or someone has reached out to them privately.

Be mindful and considerate of other people at all times. Treat others the way they want to be treated.

Be mindful of what you share

The Coatsink community is made up of people from all over the world, of all ages, from various different backgrounds.

As such, we would always ask you to be aware of what you share and post in the groups. This relates to language used, explicit material shared, and any content that goes against the values and principles of our groups.

Always take a moment to consider what you post before sending and whether it is something that could be in breach of this code of conduct.

We would also always ask you to be mindful of any spoiler content for our products as people are at various different stages of our games and may not have encountered some of the things you’ve seen in your playthrough. Always use spoiler tags where possible and post in relevant discussion groups.

Ultimately, you are responsible for your own actions and we expect you to adhere to the rules set out by this code of conduct at any time whilst in Coatsink shared spaces.

Protect Personal Information

Coatsink will never ask for your private, personal information. As such, when people join our community, we want them to feel safe and secure in the company of friends. However, we would always advise them to ensure their personal information is protected at all times.

As such, we ask you not to publicly share personal information across the forums and not to pass along sensitive information unless you’re comfortable doing so in private communications. This also extends to others within the community.

If, for any reason, you have become aware of someone’s personal information, please do not share that publicly in the groups, irrespective of whether you have been given permission to do so.

Play fairly

Our channels and networks are set up for our community to play together across our wide range of products. If you do decide to do this, we’d please ask your communications to be respectful, considerate and for you to play fairly at all times.

This includes, but is not limited to, no cheating, going against the product’s own terms of services or exploiting the game to favour you in any way.

Reporting Guidelines

If you believe you have been subjected to or witnessed a breach of the code of conduct in any form, please reach out to one of the Caretakers on the Coatsink Discord Channel or reach out to us directly as soon as possible via community@coatsink.com
